Baltimore is the first major city downstream of this reactor site that sits on an island in the Susquehanna River just south of Harrisburg, PA. Of the two reactors there, Unit 2 melted down in 1979, and Unit 1 closed in 2019. Now, thanks to the Biden Administration’s massive pro-nuclear subsidies, there’s talk about reopening Unit 1.
